Taking a look back & forward to explore what could have happened with Yu-Gi-Oh. As we relaunch this blog, we will be taking a strong focus on What If.... and what Full Power could have looked like. Thanks for joining us on this journey.

Under The Spotlight - Blow with All One's Might
I just wanted to quickly cover this common card from Order of Chaos.
Blow with All One's Might, what a name way to long and way to boring.
So I expect the name to be changed for the TCG, since this name isn't appealing.
Anyways why this card is the center of my focus is because I think it has a lot of potential in a very old deck type, this card fits very well in a Asura Priest deck based around the mechanics of Spirit monsters.
So what this card does is targets 1 monster on the field normal spell card, this turn that monster cannot take or deal damage, also not destroyed by battle. After damage calculation the monster that battled this monster is destroyed.
Since Asura Priest can attack every monster the opponent controls and is protected under this spell card every monster you attack will be destroyed. Welcome back Raigeki!
I think this card has tons of potential people just have to figure out what else they can do with it, Mataza the Zapper is a secondary choice but seriously consider Asura Priest as a top contender for a winning deck idea.
I'll see you guys later.

2 VS 2 Dueling Rules
Shared 5 monsters, 5 Spell/Trap 1 Field Card, and share a Graveyard
12000 life points each team
Team 1 : Consists of Player A and Player B Team 2: Consists of Player C and Player D
Insert players accordingly.
Turns proceed, as depending on who decides to go first so it would go Player A, Player C, Player B, and then Player D.
If any part of a card affects your opponent's hand, Deck, Extra Deck, then the player activating the card effect must choose 1 of their opponents to apply the entire effect of the card to. EXAMPLES: "Memory Crusher", "Secret Barrel", "Crush Card Virus", “Trishula”, “Dragged Down Into The Grave”, “Needle Worm”, “Mind Crush”
If a card affects "both players", all 4 players are affected. EXAMPLE: "Dark World Dealings" is activated.
All 4 players will each draw a card, then each discard a card. “Card Destruction”, “Morphing Jar”, “Necroface”, “Royal Tribute” A player can use teammate’s cards they control as Tributes, Fusion Materials/Synchro Materials/XYZ Materials, or to pay the cost of a card or as part of an effect.
Pot of Duality – Both players can’t special summon the turn it is activated.
Pot of Avarice – Obviously return five monsters back to the owners decks.
Monster card effects that activate in graveyard resolve based on who is the cards original owner, Example Sangan, Mystic Tomato.
If a card is set on the field any player can activate it during the appropriate turn.
Infernity cards reference the turn player, if you control no cards in your hand then the effects can resolve.
Field Spell Cards – Are shared among teammates, effects can be resolved for both players during their respective turns. “Dragon Ravine”, “The Gates of Dark World”, “Ojama Country”
If you control a face-up card, which is owned by your partner you can resolve the effects. Gemini monsters can be second summoned by a partner. “Dark Smog”, Snipe Hunter”,
Cards the state each player can only use the effect of that card once, if your Glow-Up Bulb is in your shared graveyard your partner may as well activate the effect of that Bulb, since you are to different players. EX. “Glow-Up Bulb”, “Blackwing – Zephyros the Elite”, “Spore”
During your turn effects: Lightsworn monsters sending cards to the graveyard during your End Phase, will mill cards during your partners turn from the turn players deck. This also applies for Koa’Ki Meiru.
Treeborn Frog can activate during either players standby phase.
Good luck,
Thanks.

I Want Reform! Dueling Network!
At school so I can't post a video about this right now.
But I have to get this idea out there, it is about fixing the quality of player on Dueling Network.
How this will work is that larger/good players will create lists of players on Dueling Network that understand basic gameplay and play proper decks.
What I want is a Trusted Traders List for dueling network, where people will give REF's to people who deserve it and will create a Micro Community of players worth playing on Dueling Network.
So, I need this to be spread around. Tell everyone you can, so we can fix this injustice.
My latest horror story is from a game I played last night,
I was online building my deck, one of my viewers messaged me and asked me to play.
I accepted, he was playing blackwings with lots of unorthodox cards that are "BAD" but I didn't demean him or be rude, we continued to play. I was over all winning I had card advantage.
I win game one, we go to game 2. I have 2 monsters my third Tengu and TG Librarian, he specials Cyber Dragon, then plays Lightning Vortex, I activate Enemy Controller steal his monster.
He says, "Your Good".
Next Turn I go off, and he just quits game.
I was offended I gave him the time to play and he just left.
Either way, we need to make a list of players on Dueling Network who are worth the time for Practice.
I need the challenge and no frustration.
Thanks guys,
Bye.

Deck Concept - Watts
today I will be posting a theory portion for my upcoming Watt deck.
What the deck does well and what I want to accomplish with it.
What the deck does:
1. Watt Cobra - Attacks directly and adds 1 Watt monster from deck to hand.
Then you can protect Cobra with Watt Cancel a counter trap that requires you to discard 1 Watt Monster for an effect similar to Solemn Warning.
2. They have 2 other monsters with 1000 attack that can attack directly that aren't horrible.
What I think is the most important thing to understand is that you want to play this deck similar to a deck revolved around protecting the floater.
What this means is, you attack with Cobra and you now add another Watt to your hand if you have Cancel you can stop your opponent from summoning and in turn attacking Watt Cobra, you can play stall in the name of Messenger of Peace so that your weak monsters can still attack directly and your opponent can't attack you.
2 unique cards you can also abuse are Recycling Batteries which adds 2 thunder monsters with 1500 attack from your graveyard back to your hand. The other card you can utilize which is very unique is Wattcine which is a countinous spell card that every time one of your thunder monsters inflicts direct damage you gain an amount equal to the damage to your life points.
I think that can create some unique situations and all you to support Starlight Road, since you may have additional cards on the field at any given time.
That is the nuts and bolts of what I think is important about this archtype, I will be working on a competitive version in the next few days.
I recently bought The Legend of Zelda : Skyward Sword, it is addictive and I have to stay focused on finished my classes and coming up with great content for you guys.
If you have any suggestions for my Watt Deck please leave a comment and help make this competitive.

Today's Tech - Gravelstorm
Gravelstorm is a common Trap Card from Generation Force, what it does it:
Target 1 Spell/Trap card on each side of the field; return them to the hand.
So this card techincally has multiple applications first of all you can use it as a out to your opponents backrows like a CED for spell or traps, as well you can combine this card with once per turn cards like Dragon Ravine and Gates of the Underworld. By bouncing your opponents threats and then reusing your effects.
You can also use it to abuse cards like Skill Drain, during your opponents turn you have Skill Drain active and then during your opponents End Phase bounce Drain and your opponents potentially harmful Face Down Trap.
This card potentially has lots of uses and it may begin to see play if people figure it out and find more amazing combos for it.
In the comments tell me other great ways you can abuse this card,
Thanks.

Today's Tech - Effect Veiler
today I am going to be discussing where the format is going and what to expect.
Prior to YCS Toronto Effect Veiler reached 3 per deck, with current trends and the appending doom of Dark Worlds Effect Veiler is going to decrease in play since it doesn't do anything to them and they are going to be using cards like Dragged Down to the Grave and Mind Crush to clear your hand.
However in the Fairy match up Veiler is helpful just not as much as you think. It stops Earth which is good but since it will still go to the grave for Hyperion and it is a LVL 2 Tuner what is veiler really doing being a neg 1.
In plants Veiler does nothing, it is useless.
Against Monarchs it stops my play for 1 turn, I still have a 2400 beat stick.
T.G. it does nothing.
In my Frog Monarchs, I played triple Veiler because and solely because I couldn'y afford getting Trishula played on me since I would lose my Frog, and a card from my hand.
I more often then not used veiler as a LVL 1 tuner.
I need more versitile cards that can do more aggressive things, I may go as far to say I don't need Veiler anymore.
Again I was scared of Trish and only Agents and Fabled can first turn Trish me.
On that same note, I don't see Max C being very broken either I keep playing it wrong or people are just not stupid. But it doesn't work the way you want it to, I need to find and discover better "Hand Traps".
Leave your suggestions below, thanks.

Bin**** Blun*** This Friday
So if you haven't heard I achieved my goal of getting top 32 at YCS Toronto.
So lucky and it was more or less a good weekend.
I played Frogmonarchs, and the deck wasn't perfect it can be much stronger.
Watch my Friday video for all the information.
Deck list and all.
On our Underworld6667 channel, we will be displaying a very important idea that hopefully many of you would be interested in doing. So don't forget to watch.
Also, sometime this week I will be posting a new video series displaying underated decks in a challenge format. Stay tuned to find out.
Thanks guys, and seriously I am going to make Frognarchs Tier 1!
I just need your help.
Peace,
DrakoDMD.

Today's Tech - Wiseman's Chalice
This card gained a lot of hype coming the release of XYZ's, however once they got here this card fell of the radar.
This is a normal spell card that when played special summons one monster from your opponents graveyard, you are unable to sync with the monster. At the end of the turn the monster is shifted to your opponents side of the field.
What makes this card useful is the fact that you can still attack with the monster, and when you are doing attacking you can overlay it with another monster and make a great XYZ.
It also has lots of other applications but this is prolly the most effective way, remember that when you attack with the monster and kill a monster this makes it a floater so when you make an XYZ it isn't wasting resources.
Good luck guys,
I will post again on Tuesday.
Peace.

Deck Profile - Nordics
I know I haven't made a blog post in a while, but school is starting soon and ironically I should have more time to post blogs of my thoughts and such.
I am more or less happy with the format, I am not happy with the TCG ruling on XYZ's obviously.
But who cares,
So I have been meaning to build a Nordic Deck for my girlfriend, she just loves Thor and she doesn't play that often so its litterally a hobby.
So this deck list is 38 cards I would love to hear some advice to make it complete or better thanks.
Monsters (19)
3 Vanadis of the Nordic Ascendant
3 Guldfaxe of the Nordic Beasts
3 Tanngnjostr of the Nordic Beasts
3 Tanngrisnir of the Nordic Beasts
3 Reborn Tengu
3 Effect Veiler
1 Valkyrie of the Nordic Ascendant
Spells (11)
3 Forbidden Lance
3 Mystical Space Typhoon
1 Heavy Storm
1 Monster Reborn
1 Dark Hole
1 Book of Moon
1 Pot of Duality
Traps (8)
3 Gleipnir, the Fetters of Fenrir
3 Horn of the Phantom Beast
2 Call of the Haunted
So this deck is simplistic in design focusing on key cards and strategies.
It can make a 2nd turn Norse God quite easily.
Alot of the cards are chainable and play many roles, it seems good I am still missing 2 cards any advice would be great.
Thank you.

Update - Videos
It has been a while I know sorry but Yugioh is so boring right now.
YCS Indy just finished and some "Synchro" deck won.
They had less then 512 players, since they didn't announce how many and based on the Nine Rounds and cut to top 16 we can assume they had a crap turnout.
Wonder why????
Anyways this Friday I will post a Fortune Lady deck, hope it meets everyones expectations.
I will also begin to make 1 pokemon TCG video per week, the first few will be introductory and hopefully used to convert some of you to the Pokemon TCG.
Since right now it is very entertaining, and brings some excitement that Yugioh currently isn't.
Well I think we are all just waiting for the Ban List, only going to be like 9 days till we see the OCG version which won't be to different.
Hope they listen and fix the game.
Peace.

Deck Profile - Dragunity Final Edit
So I know I talk about Dragunity often but I am currently running very hot with this build. I got part of the concept from the OCG, the only differnce is that I took out alot of the OTK stuff and made it a little more tame.
Monsters (13)
3 Dragunity Dux
3 Dragunity Legionnaire
3 Dragunity Phalanx
2 Dragunity Aklys
1 Blackwing - Zephyros The Elite
1 Effect Veiler
Spells (19)
3 Dragon Ravine
3 Cards of Consonance
3 Forbidden Lance
3 Terraforming
2 Pot of Duality
2 Pot of Avarice
1 Mystical Space Typhoon
1 Dark Hole
1 Giant Trunade
Traps (8)
3 Royal Decree
2 Solemn Warning
1 Solemn Judgment
1 Dimensional Prison
1 Bottomless Trap Hole
Extra Deck (15)
1 Ally of Justice Catastor
1 Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier
2 Dragunity Knight - Gae Dearg
3 Dragunity Knight - Vajrayana
1 Scrap Dragon
1 Thought Ruler Archfiend
1 Colossal Fighter
3 Stardust Dragon
1 Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier
1 Trident Dragion
So I hope you guys find this build interesting, it works really well because it has very powerful first turn plays as well as being about to come back going second.
I know if runs alot of traps dispite playing 3 Royal Decree's but the plan is to set up and disrupt your opponent then set up Decree to block the opponent from disrupting your plays.
I am using 3 Forbidden Lances to protect my monsters while Decree is up, and it also can be used to protect my monsters when summoning them.
The MVP of the Deck is Gae Dearg and Zephros they are so amazing, since I can make Gae Dearg and he can search for any card from my deck except Effect Vieler. Which a first turn dump Zephros into grave is game changing and winning.
Plus for side decking purposes I can use Gae Dearg to add D.D. Crow to my hand.
Hope you think this is good, also note that I do not have Monster Reborn cause it doesn't help this deck and
If you guys have any other advice I would like to hear,
Thanks.

Update - My Trip
Still in Michigan, going to the mall today. YAY!
The Michigan Zoo is quite wicked.
I will also be heading towards a local today to play a duel terminal and see what else is going on.
I am going to be looking for some Gem-Knight stuff and some Laval monsters.
Obviously the Vylon stuff isn't horrible either, we will see what I pull.
I will have some better content when I return, and there should be a Binder Blunders and Stay On Track posted sometime today.
Again I will ask for people who are interested in helping develop a new exciting card game send me an email.

Week Update - Monday July 11 2011
I have some updated news, I am going to be filming this weeks Binder Blunders and Stay On Track today.
I will be going on a mini trip to Michigan to see the sights and buy some stuff.
America has such a great selection and so many things that we are still lacking.
I have barely anytime to create a well thought out Beast Warrior deck, but I will have a rough idea of what I want to discuss though.
Nationals is very soon, and hopefully it will live up to the hype.
The Elite contest is still going strong, check out our contest video on Binder Blunders on my channel, DrakoDMD.
As well this week will start the group effort of awesome videos.
Hope you all enjoy.
Have a great day,

Today's Tech - Genesis Dragon
Today I was going to throw up a quick post about this amazing card that used to be 30 dollars and very difficult to find.
Obviously I am referring to Genesis Dragon, whose current reprint has marked it in the dollar bin.
It is a Level 6 Dragon, with 2200 ATK and 1800 DEF.
Once per turn you can discard 1 Dragon-type monster from your hand to the graveyard, to retrieve a Dragon-type monster from your graveyard and add it to your hand.
This works well in any dedicated dragon deck, by creating an infinite loop of Light and Darkness Dragon.
How this works is by having 1 LADD on your side of the field, and by having 1 Red Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon, and 1 Genesis Dragon in your graveyard.
When your LADD dies, you revive Red Eyes, use Red Eyes effect to revive Genesis Dragon, in turn you can discard any random dragon from your hand to grab your LADD back from your graveyard.
Then you can tribute your 2 free dragons for your LADD, continue to abuse LADD and repeat.
Obviously you would have to build a very dedicated build and make sure you run enough dragons to beable to use Genesis Dragons effect.
I hope you can take this information and help perfect your Dragon decks,
Good luck,
In the comments below tell me what underrated cards you use to make your decks more competitive and unique.
Thanks,
DrakoDMD.

Under The Spotlight - Doomcaliber Knight
Today I wanted to discuss how to effectively use this card. The first key thing to understand is that in this current meta you cannot main this card.
In this current meta Doomcaliber Knight is a great sidedeck choice, since if you happen to play against a Plant or Frog deck your Doomcaliber Knights will be completely useless.
However as a sidedeck card it can assist in shutting down alot of other combo's and strategies, like Fabled, Gladiator Beasts, Six Samurai (The setting up aspects), The Agents.
Realistically Doomcaliber can hurt almost everyother competitive deck, but with the massive amounts of Tengu Plants it is not a great idea to main deck it.
I am going to be posting more frequently, so check back often and add my blog to your Favorites(Bookmarks).
Thanks for stopping by,
DrakoDMD.

Under The Spotlight - Counter Fairies
Today I will be showcasing Counter Fairies and how they are evolving because of recent releases,
Bountiful Artemis - Level 4 Light Fairy, 1600 ATK, 1700 DEF, Effect: While this card is face-up on the field, draw 1 card from your deck each time a Counter Trap is activated.
So regardless of who activates a Counter Trap this effect resolves it doesn't activate that is what makes this card unique because it resolves at the same speed as a Counter Trap.
Harvest Angel of Wisdom - Level 4 Light Fairy, 1800 ATK, 1000 DEF, Effect: When this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the graveyard, you can add 1 Counter Trap Card from your graveyard to your hand.
This card has the beef to compete with Reborn Tengu, it can be pumped by Honest. It allows you to reuse Counter Traps like Solemn Judgment, and it can technically resolve from the opponents side of the field.
This last useable Counter Fairy is a new addition based on the new Counter Trap that requires Sanctuary in the Sky.
Meltiel, Sage of the Sky - Level 4 Light Fairy, 1600 ATK, 1200 DEF. Effect: Each time a Counter Trap is activated, gain 1000 life points, and if ``The Sanctuary in the Sky`is face-up on the field, destroy 1 card your opponent controls.
This allows you to abuse Sanctuary more then just being able to use that new Counter Trap, this allows you to gain life points and destroy opponents cards. It makes the deck have more synergy, and allow you to make more complicated plays.
The last card that I have discovered that would fit and work well in a Counter Fairy deck would be Safe Zone, it can protect your Fairy`s from being destroyed and can help stall out the game. Also since you have Sanctuary you will not be taking damage, so it can really stall out a game.
Thanks alot guys,
the only real problem with this deck is I still haven`t devised a plan for going second, I can see this deck losing if having to go second. I need a way to make the deck more aggressive.
Any suggestions?
DrakoDMD

Todays Tech - Banisher of the Radiance
Today I'm going to be discussing Banisher, it is a great card that is quite under played.
It is a level 3 Light Monster, with 1600 ATK and a huge 0 DEF. It is also a Fairy!
Effect : Any card sent to the graveyard is removed from play instead.
So obviously we can understand that alot of decks are going to have a hard time with this card since a majority of popular decks require set up in the graveyard. "Plants, Fairy's, Lightsworn, Chaos``
What else is important to take notice of is that it can also shut down alot of key cards to alot of strategies, like any Recruiter and a majority of popular decks use a Recruiter, ``Gravekeepers, Psychics, X-Sabers, and any deck involving Tour Guide of the Underworld since there major play is grab Sangan.``
Being a Fairy finally opens a new door for this guy to be combined with Cards From the Sky to allow a new consistant way to draw more cards, as well when Banisher dies it will go to the graveyard so you then can use it to fulfill the requirements of Archlord Kristya.
The last import thing to remember is you want to keep Banisher alive at any cost, so you have to support it with spells and traps. Once it is on the field the opponent will be struggling to kill it, and if you are able to slow them down and protect it then you most surely will win.
Happy 4th of July!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
See you next time,
DrakoDMD.

Update - Ratman's Toolbelt
I've noticed people are looking for updated lists of this deck, I currently have given up on this deck awhile ago. It is still obviously a really good deck, it needs to be tweaked hard but it is still competitive.
For next week I will have a video highlighting an updated version of the list, I will have all week to work on a proper version.
I did build a version a few days ago using the Earth remove from play Psychic monsters, it was working quite well but it is really slow and it relys heavily on Synchro Summoning.
But the deck can make Barkion and Beast very easily, but again it takes alot of set up.
I hope you guys are going to look forward to my video on Friday I won't disappoint.
Thank you.

Under The Spotlight - Debunk
Today I am going to highlight why Debunk should have a home in your sidedeck and also potential in a counter fairy build.
First of all Debunk can be activated to Negate the activation of an Effect Monsters effect that activates in the hand or graveyard and then it is removed from play.
So lets state some of the cards this can negate, Gorz, Effect Veiler, D.D. Crow. These are more of the generic cards that a lot of people play.
When you make it more specific this card can completely shut down Treeborn Frog which obviously is huge, plus having it me so versitile just makes it a better asset then D.D. Crow. On that same note it has the same utility as a Chain Disappearance would.
If you were playing against a Vayu Turbo this is one of the only cards that could stop it in its tracks, as well as a lot of the plant engine cards like Spore, Glow-Up Bulb and anything else that activates in grave.
You can also side this card in your decks as an answer to Effect Veiler, like if your playing Fish OTK and you instantly lose to Effect Veiler well side this card in and now your perfectly safe.
I hope you guys found this helpful and thanks for stopping by,
DrakoDMD.
Question of the Day: How many of you guys play Pokemon Black or White?

Todays Tech - Fortune Ladies
Just posting up a quick one on the splashability of Fortune Ladies, in Genex Monarchs.
So to make your Genex Monarch deck support Fortune Ladies all you have to do is put Fortune Lady Water and Fortune Lady Dark into your build.
Fortune Lady Dark is a Level 5, 2000 ATK and 2000 DEF monster and when ever a Fortune Lady kills an opponents monster by battle and sends it to the graveyard, you can special summon one Fortune Lady from your graveyard.
I.E. Fortune Lady Water, which is a 1200 ATK 1200 DEF level 4 and when it is special summoned while you control a Fortune Lady you draw 2 cards.
They work perfectly together and all you technically have to do is throw them in your build. Of course you can still run Swap Frog, but using Genex Undine to either send Treeborn Frog or Fortune Lady Water.
I hope you find this interesting, and if you have other ways to use Fortune Ladies in a monarch build leave it in the comments below.
Thanks,
DrakoDMD.

Todays Tech - Kycoo The Ghost Destroyer
Just as I begin to type my second Post I can already remember how much I love doing this.
So today I'm going to be telling you guys why you should either be main decking or side decking Kycoo The Ghost Destroyer.
First of all it is a level 4 monsters with 1800ATK and 700DEF, it is a Dark Spellcaster, while this card is face-up on the field your opponent cannot remove cards from the graveyard. Secondly when this card inflicts damage to your opponent you can remove up to 2 cards from the opponents graveyard.
So upon the recent success of the Agents (Fairy's) I have come to the conclusion that Kycoo can effectively shut this deck down, stopping a lot of their larger plays and holding them at bay,
On that same not, it can really effect Zombies since they require cards in grave and often remove from play cards from the grave.
For obvious reasons this is also really strong against (Plants, Frogs, Scraps and Dragunity) remove from play key cards the decks just shut down.
Obviously it can hurt other decks and slow them down but it doesn't instantly ruin their strategy, so I hope Kycoo can find a new home in your deck.
If you have any thoughts or comments on how else you can use Kycoo leave a comment, or any suggestions of future Tech, leave me a comment!
I may have a deck profile for you guys on Friday from a reader/viewer.

Under The Spotlight - Dragunity Tribus
today I will be covering a recently forgotten deck type Dragunity's, obviously regarding the title the main subject of todays blog is Tribus.
Dragunity Tribus is a Level 1 wind type,
500 ATK and 300 DEF
Winged Beast
When this card is normal or special summoned you can 1 level 3 or lower dragon type monster from your deck to the grave.
So this card is a Foolish Burial that combos well with the Dragunity theme.
First of all of course you can send Phalanx or Aklys to the graveyard, which is wicked cause thats what the deck needs.
Secondly you can send Tribus to the graveyard to special summon Dragunity Arma Mystletainn, which in turn can equip Phalanx and synchro into a level 8 monster.
The other things you can do is offer it as a tribute for Spiritual Wind Art or Icarus Attack! Both of these help control the opponent and obviously put in you in a better posistion.
Remember you can bring out Tribus with Flying Kamakari, and with Vortex the Whirlwing and still get his effect.

Welcome To The Beginning
Be aware I will discuss things on here that either relate to Stay On Track, like deck lists or strategies that are only accessible to the dire fans who seek my blog.
I will post every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Unless something amazing comes up I will post on off days.
Thanks for following and enjoy the posts.
